Phase 1: From the city to our 135-acre farm

In pursuit of a healthier life for our family, we moved from the city in 2014 and bought a 135-acre farm in rural South Central Wisconsin. The property was overgrown, and the house was unliveable, but to us, it was a dream come true! With a lot of help from our family, we removed the old structure, built a new farmhouse, planted a large garden, and learned invaluable homesteading skills.

Phase 2: Healing the soil

It didn't take long for us to realize a portion of our land had suffered from past years of conventional farming, which led us to learn everything we could about healing the soil with regenerative agriculture practices. Early into our research, it occurred to us:

How can we honestly eat in a way to cure illness if our soils are sick? The truth is, we can't! We'll always be fighting for our health. The answer is in the soil; It is our cure for both personal health and planetary health.

We began planting a diverse array of cover crops to enhance everything the soil needs to thrive. We planted thousands of trees to provide living roots and armor for the soil, and we integrated livestock and wildlife habitats to further support a thriving farm ecosystem.

Phase 3: Healthy food for all

Our passion for a healthier life only continued to grow, as did our knowledge, and we wanted to share the nutrient-dense bounty of our land with others. In 2020, after years of dreaming and preparation, our new website was launched, making it easy to source pastured pork for you and your loved ones.
